Another day, another MoT, another year another journey ahead

Another day, another MoT, another year another journey ahead

Another day, another MoT—so it was time to pay another visit to Alan and Chris at MW Motorcycles.

It feels like I was just there! In fact, only a couple of weeks ago, my BMW RnineT was in for its annual service, MoT, and a fresh front tyre. You can check out a post from that visit at this link.

This time, it was the turn of my BMW F900 XR and as my visit was just for an MoT it was a fairly brief visit.

All in order

Thankfully and as expected all was in order with the BMW for the MoT. This was the first MoT for this bike

Annual MoTs and service appointments seem to be yet another marker in the diary for highlighting the relentless march of time.

Seriously, where does the time go?

But on the positive side, another MoT serves as more than a reminder of another year gone by. It’s also a reminder to look ahead to another year of biking that is waiting to unfold.

Hopefully the weather will be good and I’ll be able to find the time to get in some decent riding.

I don’t think I’ll be getting bored any time soon of looking forward to travelling to new places and finding new roads.

Later this year

I have my main trip scheduled and planned, with a pretty clear idea of where I’m headed. This adventure will take me on the F900 to Spain and Portugal once again for another much-anticipated Iberian journey.

I’m hopeful and quite optimistic—that it will be just as memorable as last year’s ride (check out this link).

If time and weather allow, I’d also love to visit Scotland or Ireland. I’ve ridden thousands of miles through both countries, and they always seem to call me back. Whether I make it there on the bike this year remains to be seen. However, I will be visiting both Ireland and Scotland later in the year with my wife, as we already have trips planned and booked in the diary.
