Spring – time for the RnineT service, MoT and new front tyre
For some people the arrival of spring is often characterised by the arrival of warmer weather, the sight of daffodils blooming and of course more sunshine to lighten the day.
The first day of spring in the UK was the 20th March, so it should be no surprise to know that my bike activity has started.
But what typically characterises spring for me is looking forward to my ‘biking season’ and getting the bikes ready for the road.
Just the other week I posted about my first ride of the year on my Moto Guzzi V7 Cafe. You can see that post at this link if you missed it.
Off to MW Motorcycles
This week, just two days before spring had officially arrived I headed off to see Chris and Alan at MW Motorcycles in Hyde.
I had booked my RnineT in for it’s annual service and MoT.
On this occasion I had also arranged for a new front tyre (Metzeler) to be fitted. MW Motorcycles have been my first port of call for looking after my bikes for many years.
There are plenty of previous posts on this blog that either feature or mention MW Motorcycles. Although I’m not here to promote their business there are many good reasons that I mention them.
It’s quite simple really – decent guys who know what they are doing and always do a fine job at a reasonable price.
And of course it’s always good to have a chat and a catch up – although on this occasion we kept chat about football related topics quite brief, I’m not so sure why that was though …
I’ll be back there soon
No doubt I’ll be back seeing Alan and Chris soon – my Moto Guzzi is due it’s annual MoT towards the end of April. The F900 XR is already due it’s first MoT (it was actually due at the start of March, but as the bike is currently SORN it’s not top of my list at the moment).
I’ll be out on the Guzzi again this week with the next ride being on the RnineT. And it should go without saying that I’m looking forward to getting back on the road after my first ride of the year last week.
Picture set
There are pictures in the set below to accompany this short post. These are from my visit this week to MW Motorcycles – you’ll see a very clean and tidy looking Suzuki GSXR 750 – which you can check out along with the other pictures in the set by clicking on any image to open a clickable and scrollable picture gallery
