Happy New Year and happy miles – all the very best for 2025.

Happy New Year and happy miles – all the very best for 2025.

All the very best to you for the coming year.

I hope 2024 has been a good year for you and I hope 2025 is even better.

Goodbye 2024

Biking wise I had a decent enough time during 2024.

Probably didn’t use my Moto Guzzi V7 as much as I would have liked – mainly down to a mix of other commitments and too much dodgy weather.

My beautiful BMW RnineT is going to be a due a service and a new front tyre as soon as my ‘biking season’ opens up and it will be the BMW F900 XR that carries me on the ‘big’ trip(s) again

Trip highlights in 2024 were my trip to Ireland and of course my Iberian road trip when I travelled extensively in Spain and Portugal

It’s not just where you go it’s who you meet as well

As ever when I travel I always seem to meet decent and interesting people and it was no different on the trips I have mentioned above. I also met a decent guy closer to home – and I wrote about meeting Ian and his fabulous bikes in a blog post back in June and then again later the same month.

What’s in store for 2025?

I can’t really say for sure just where I’ll get to and where I’ll be riding but I do know that all things being equal I’ll be away travelling for the best part of three weeks in Spain and quite possibly Portugal.

Although I haven’t really began think about just where I might travel to, I do know I’ll be taking the Brittany Ferries service down to Santander in northern Spain and heading out from there.

I’m sure that Ireland and Scotland will be tempting but weather, timing and other commitments will decide on what I do closer to home. I’ll write about my plans as they firm up in the months ahead.

But most importantly …

I’ll finish this short message back where I started – and wish you and yours all the very best for a healthy and safe 2025.

It should go without saying that if you are a biker I wish you all the best for safe, interesting and exciting rides, travels and adventures – whether that’s close to home or further afield.

Best wishes.

Tony
