It’s that time of the year motorcycle MoT at MW Motorcycles.
It’s that time of the year when the weather starts to improve and I get to look forward to getting out on the bikes again.
A combination of personal commitments, time of year, bad weather, DiY work at home and a couple of decent trips away (Poland and Scotland) meant that rolling out the BMW RnineT this week for the short trip for it’s MoT was my first ride of the year.
Without a doubt, regular readers wont be at all surprised to know it was only a short journey for me to my local MoT station to see Chris and Alan at MW Motorcycles in Hyde.
They have been looking after my bikes for many years now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. In fact I’m back in week or so for the annual service on my BMW F800R.
I think the last time I was there was in the summer of last year when I had new tyres fitted to the F800R just before I headed off to Ireland for a couple of weeks.
Men at work
As ever the service at MW Motorcycles was up to the usual standard and as well as that it was good to catch up with Alan and Chris.
All good

All was good with the MoT for the RnineT, although undoubtedly it wont be too long before I need a new tyre on the front, there’s plenty of life left in the rear.
That tyre was replaced back in 2021 (see this post) and I guess I’ll stick with the stock Metzeler when I change the front.

It’s always worth a bit of a browse to see what they have in and what they are working on and there’s a few pictures from my visit to MW Motorcycles in the picture gallery below.
