Back on the BMW RnineT – service and new rear tyre sorted

I had my BMW RnineT in at MW Motorbikes earlier this week, it was in for a routine service and a new rear tyre. I stuck with the stock tyre (Metzeler) as I’ve found it to be pretty good both in terms of performance and wear so I had no particular reason to consider changing from the stock tyre.

It’s a little bit like the service I get from Alan and Chris at MW Motorcycles – it’s always first class service so I can’t imagine changing them or even thinking about going anywhere else with any of my bikes.

Short ride out

Today was the first chance I have had this week to get out on a bike – a combination of pretty awful weather and one or two other commitments.

I only did a round trip of 70 or so miles but it was nice enough across the A57 (Snake Pass) as I headed towards Glossop and then on to Ladybower reservoir before turning for Bamford, Hope and Castleton,

The only down side was the snack van that is normally located in the lay-by near Ladybower wasn’t there when I went passed today and which in turn led to me not stopping to idle away the time with a coffee.
