yesterday and next up

It was a bit of a dour game at The Etihad yesterday as City worked to overcome a pretty resolute Stoke team that had a game plan that was as simple as packing the defence – it doesn’t make for a great viewing spectacle but I can understand why some visiting teams set out with that plan. In the end persistence paid of and an important 1-0 win was secured.

Next up and next Sunday though is an opportunity for early silverware when City take on Sunderland in the Carling Cup (League Cup) final at Wembley.

We have our tickets for what will be out sixth visit to Wembley in the last three years – looking forward to it already
