pensioners trip out

Today we called into the Imperial War Museum (North) and it was first class – a good example of an attraction that’s pretty much on our doorstep and yet one we had never made the time to visit. Like any of these type of places they provide plenty of pretty sobering images and words of war that really do highlight the absurd futility of it all. If you’re in Manchester and have time on your hands it’s well worth a visit.

Although entrance was free we purchased the guide-book for £5 as it goes towards the upkeep and running and we also paid to go up to the viewing platform which was pretty good.
