national football museum

| Family, Football

We had a wander to Stockport today and enjoyed the stroll in the sunshine before having a decent cup of coffee and a sit down on a very comfy sofa

a trip to the park

Yesterday Pat, Daniel and I met with former colleagues and friends Richard, Nicole and their daughter Caitlin – had a wander around Manor Park (Glossop), fed the ducks, hung off a bridge, jumped over a stream, threw sticks and stones played on the swings and things and then went for a bite to eat in […]

Today we called into the Imperial War Museum (North) and it was first class – a good example of an attraction that’s pretty much on our doorstep and yet one we had never made the time to visit. Like any of these type of places they provide plenty of pretty sobering images and words of […]

bit of a ride out this morning to the Blakemere craft village – which was OK, little bit of browsing, bought a couple of bits and pieces and then treated Pat to an amazing lunch … as luck would have it we ‘just happened’ to be near a bike dealers/bike parts place which has a […]

valentines update (2)

Pats offerings were impressive – the bolognese pasta bake was made for me because I love it and had mentioned it recently, the accompanying garlic/tomato bread was cut into heart shapes and if that wasn’t impressive enough the homemade Victoria sponge presented in a heart shape was a winner but along with the accompanying chocolate […]

valentines update (1)

You will have seen in my earlier post (14 Feb) that we drew lots for who was providing the items to make up our meal yesterday (Valentines day). The attached pictures show the outcome. My offerings were Strawberry Schnapps with a bowl of Love Hearts, followed by a pretty ordinary bowl of tomato soup but […]
