Moto Guzzi V7 Cafe – out and about and coffee at Tilly’s.
Apart from taking the Moto Guzzi for its MoT last week, it seems absolutely ages since I have been out on it. The ride up to MW Motorcycles for the MoT is so close to home that it barely counts as a ride at all.
With what seems like a long overdue change in the weather the Moto Guzzi was the bike of choice to get out on in the sunshine.
No particular place to go
A bit like the Chuck Berry song – I had no particular place to go, so decided to head out on some familiar routes into the Cheshire countryside. I went via Alderley Edge and Holmes Chapel then headed towards and past Oulton Park and then on towards Whitchurch before randomly turning at a sign for the village of Bunbury. The village of Bunbury is located south of Tarporley and to the north west of Nantwich.
I was glad I turned where I did as I found an excellent coffee shop in the heart of Bunbury Village and it’s sure to be a place I go to again.
In all the years I have biked that way, and the many thousands of miles I have done in Cheshire, this was only the second time I had headed into and through Bunbury.
If I was to head directly there and back (avoiding motorways) it would probably make for a round trip of about 90 miles or so, which feels like a pleasant distance for those short summer morning rides … assuming summer does actually arrive.
Very decent coffee shop
Tilly’s coffee shop seems to be something of a gem. Apparently it’s a family run coffee shop and seems to be pretty much in the middle of the small village of Bunbury.
I was able to park my bike directly outside and although I could have sat inside for my refreshments, the weather was so good that I sat outside to enjoy an excellent cappuccino and a fabulous Eccles cake.
I don’t think it will be too long before I’m back that way and when I am I think a stop at Tilly’s will be in order. There are some pictures from Tilly’s in the gallery below.

Clicking on any of the images below will open a picture gallery that can be clicked or scrolled though. Plenty of pictures here of the Moto Guzzi V7 Cafe Classic – including the last one with a slightly different look to the paint job … it wont be happening though, I was just messing with the picture editing software.
It’s a very classy machine you’ve got there!
Cheers Matt
As a fellow Moto Guzzi enthusiast, I can’t help but appreciate the timeless style and undeniable charm of the V7 Cafe. Its classic design, paired with modern performance features, makes it a true icon on the road. And what better way to enjoy its smooth ride than by embarking on a leisurely journey through scenic landscapes?
The idea of ending the ride with a steaming cup of coffee at Tilly’s adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. There’s something incredibly satisfying about savoring a well-brewed cup of coffee amidst the warm ambiance of a charming cafe, especially after a refreshing ride on the Moto Guzzi.
Thanks for your interest and comment, as you will see I’ve taken the advertising link out. I’m happy to consider an advertising link but appreciate that being checked out first. Regards Tony
