Well we should have been in Italy this week but Pats broken wrist put paid to that. We could have still gone but on balance decided to cancel and just go another time, it was a little disappointing as we both love Italy but things happen and that’s just the way it is.
Mike and Ali’ were down at the weekend and it was nice to catch up with them. Other than that we have seen plenty of Sarah, Emma and Daniel, I’ve had a new front tyre on the Moto Guzzi and got out for a reasonable ride on Sunday – with the healthy option of a sausage sandwich for lunch and Pat and I ate out at a local hostelry at weekend which was decent enough.
My generosity was stretched again yesterday when Pat and I had a coffee in Sainsbury’s I really pushed the boat out and treated both of us to a pretty decent gingerbread man and with the weather continuing to be so nice we had a decent walk yesterday along part of the River Tame and the Peak Forrest canal – a few pictures from the last week are included below.
