A few weeks ago we took my parents to lunch in a Beefeater pub/restaurant which was pretty reasonable. I completed an online feedback survey and received a voucher for a bottle of wine next time I eat at a Beefeater … as long as it was within two weeks!
As that seemed a little limiting – and from my perspective of no practical value I dropped a line to Beefeater (part of the Whitbread group) to query whether this could be extended past the two weeks, here’s the response:
Unfortunately all vouchers have an expiry date of two weeks from the date of completing the survey. We are unable to change this. Our apologies for this.
All rather corporate – I guess they don’t need the business too much
I think they meant to say “unfortunately we don’t value out customers”.
