Back from a road trip to Ireland
I was back this week from another terrific road trip to Ireland. You may recall I was there about six weeks ago (check this link if you haven’t see the posts from that trip). This time I covered more miles (about 1,600 in total) and it would be fair to say that I enjoyed myself just as much as my first trip there on a bike last month.
Different roads and different places
I travelled on different roads and went to different places, although I did return to Listowel and stayed in the same accomodation (Carriglea) because it’s really good and had a beer in the same pub Mike the Pies … because it’s really good.
Back to the Wild Atlantic Way
Whilst I hadn’t really set out to follow the Wild Atlantic Way, I suppose it was inevitable that given the roads I like and my love of the coastline then I would end up along the Wild Atlantic Way for quite a lot of the time I was there … and that is exactly what happend. The roads and the miles I rode didn’t disappoint me. In advance of getting the blog posts written and online my simple message would be if you haven’t motorcycled in Ireland then you really should consider it, it’s better than good.
Coming soon
I’m currently just sifting through photographs but in the next day or two I will start my write up – this time I was also in Dingle before eventually making my way to an overnight in Larne and the ring down the magnificent Antrim Coast.
In addition to the superb accomodation at – Carriglea I will also be recommending two other very decent stop overs, one in Mulranny and one in Larne. Don’t forget to check back over the next few days for the posts from my ‘Return to the Emerald Isle’ trip
