raising the bar ..

Yesterday my son-in-law took delivery of a new BBQ -I was there when it was delivered and I was left gutted. My normal BBQ fayre is a few sausages and burgers – sort of the usual really. Damians BBQ, bought after a period of serious internet research promises to be up to cooking temperature quicker than my gas-fired BBQ with its fancy ‘briquette’ based tower and pre heating cooking approach – but one glance through the instructions/guide suggests that he is looking to play at Premier level whilst I may be left floundering in the lower reaches of the BBQ leagues … for example cooking times for Cornish Game Hen are provided!

The proof as they say is in the pudding – so I shall wait for the first taste test with a mild degree of nervous anxiety, of course I ma not at all competitive!
