Yesterday Pat and I went for a decent walk (best part of five miles). Weather was perfect as well and our walk was strenuous enough to be of value and at the same time allowed us to enjoy splendid views of the country side and the wildlife as well as some glorious tranquility. It’s fair to say that we are so ideally placed that a short drive in all directions takes us to somewhere decent. Yesterday was only about 20 miles or so away and was out Bolton Way (Peel Tower)
Some lovely pics there Tony..and nice to see you both looking very well. Like yourself a short drive puts us in our ‘back garden’, as we affectionately call it…otherwise known as the Peak District National Park..We went to Laon yesterday and today, I think..we are visiting the Chemin des Dames / Caverne du Dragon..all very laid back..as it should be !!
Yep – Peak District is superb isn’t it – and no doubt you will keep with the laid back approach when you are back later with a glass (or two) of vino
