We made the most of the decent weather today and headed off for North Wales. Out via Holmes Chappel, Broxton and onto Llangollen then onto the Horseshoe Pass in Dembighshire. Although the Pass itself is only a few miles long,, the road reaches a height of around 1,400 feet and its a really pretty place to ride a bike.
Once at the top the Ponderosa cafe is always a decent stop for refreshments or just to take in the fine views.
After that we headed down the A5104 to pick up the Corwen road and then turned to make our way home, broken with just a call for fuel near Wrexham and a stop for an ice lolly at Sandiway petrol station.
It had been a very decent 180 mile midweek jaunt and provided a reasonable test of the modified pillion seat, which seems to have worked well and provided a greatly improved level of comfort.
