Yesterday we called to my daughters for a BBQ, which was good fun as well as being a reasonable way to enjoy the warm May sunshine. As ever Daniel and Emma were in good form. Monks and Lion completed the line up.
We had the absolute benefit of Daniel being keen to show us his new Pocket Microscope … the packaging of which suggested that it can also be used for Crime Scene Investigations.
In fact to quote information on the web, its: Small enough to fit in your pocket, but powerful enough to make an ant look the size of an antelope! This real microscope magnifies 30 times using precision optics, and is much easier to use than those old-fashioned desk microscopes! When you unfold the microscope, the light automatically illuminates the area in front of the lens, so that whether you are interested in nature studies, or crime-solving, this will be an invaluable companion!
But to be fair I think some additional evidence might be useful to avoid any miscarriages of justice. We did check out a couple of leaves and a blade of grass though.
We also got to see Daniel’s new Gro clock which is intended to encourage him to stay in bed a little longer, the first couple of nights use seem to be encouraging.
Some pictures below and clicking on the first will open a scrolable galley …
