The stop/start to summer has felt a little frustrating this year, but yesterday felt like a summer’s day. I made the most of it and was off for a little after 08:00am. A dull first 20 minutes or so as I mixed with the daily commuting traffic was soon forgotten as I found increasingly empty roads and leafy lanes.
I had no particular plan and ended up heading for Llangollen and the Horseshoe Pass, then on towards Bala and then back via Corwen and home for around 3pm – and in between times an early stop for coffee and then a lunchtime stop for another coffee and a calorie laden sausage sandwich.
I love getting out on my Kawasaki but a ride in the warm sunshine on the Moto Guzzi is hard to beat – the bike has a special soundtrack all of its own.
All in all a very decent way to pass some time and I was home around 3pm having done a couple of hundred miles.
